Very easy and smooth riding, the acceleration for hills works perfectly and seamlessly. I still get a good workout riding but easier on my knees too. The Pace 500.2 model was a great choice.

I try to get out on my Pace 500 daily, but sometimes life interferes. But even if it is midnight, I have found several times Ive gone out for 1/2-hour and cruise our local area. The 500s were easy to assemble (thanks for having the handlebar assemblies pre-assembled!!). The first Pace500 took me less than an hour, and when I assembled my wife's, it was well under 30 minutes (now that I gained "experience"). Installation of Aventon rear racks, handlebar mirrors, and for my Pace, fenders -- were straightforward. The gearing is well-matched for us when we minimize or shut-down the assist. With assist set to low values, we've completed a number of rides beyond 30 miles.

The Pace 500.2 is everything that is advertised and the reviews are dead on. Easy to assemble, easy to understand, and most importantly easy to ride. My wife and I are both retired and have decided to begin to ride bikes as a form of exercise. She has had surgery on both knees and was worried about the bike being too much, not an issue at all the Pace is perfect for us. On our first trek pedaled our 10 year old Schwinn bike (obviously no electric motor) and she drove/pedaled the Pace it is absolutely perfect, on the minimal hills she could use the motor assist while I had to huff and puff up the hills. I might be the next one to get an E-bike, most definitely will be an Aventon Pace 500.2.

On a final note the Pace is much lighter than other e-bikes we have tried yet feels strong and durable, we shall see. Note that at 280 lbs I challenge most bikes, including the Schwinn, but had no issues with the Pace 500.2.
